NGA International Service Curriculum & Trainings NextGen Academy Admissions

FULL-YEAR PROGRAM

The NextGen Academy (NGA) is a year-long program designed to help youth discover their full potential through activities that challenge and empower them to uncover who they are and what they really want in life. We educate our participants about finding their passion, being confident in themselves, expressing who they are, expressing what they believe, and how to create long-lasting relationships with each other. With their futures in mind, we help them to work towards become someone who can make a positive impact on his or her world by being a compassionate friend, a dedicated worker, a loving future spouse/parent, and a successful, self-confident person.

A large part of this process is the leadership training itself. Participants not only attend many different camps and workshops but they also play an active role in making those camps and workshops possible. Part of the training is for the first year participants to envision, plan, and even run the workshops in the latter half of the year. They going to give presentations or manage logistics such as transportation or schedules for the workshops that they are responsible for. This process instills a sense of confidence in our members, and helps them realize how much they are actually capable of. It is through these elements that participants can in fact create the program for themselves and for those who will follow in their footsteps the next year.

Another key element of NGA is the international service project. Having been to 19 different countries in the last five years, NGA continues to grow the number of countries and people we have affected through our service projects and character education initiatives. To support our international work, we have other periods of training, including fundraising, community outreach, workshop development, and many other fun and exciting activities. Each are designed to help the participants gain confidence and skills in leading others, discover who they are, and ultimately learning how to make a positive effect wherever they go.

Understanding that the real work begins once the program is over, we do our best to provide our participants with the tools that allow them to keep their positive habits and lessons from NGA long after they have graduated, and apply them to the “real world” back home.

We provide a place for everyone to have an accelerated learning experience, providing enriched, unique experiences for your growth. Through our intensive, experiential, and exciting programs we focus on elements of your life that help build a successful and joy-filled life. We do things in one year that take others ten, twenty, or even their entire life to accomplish. As a part of today’s next generation we are offering life-transformational opportunities, and it is your responsibility to decide that you want them and to take action.

So why wait? Join now - stop taking our word for it and see for yourself.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
